| Intro: | Hello from Stockport, England. I have enjoyed taking photographs for some years now; previously using a 35 mm SLR and processing/printing my own black & white negatives and prints, as well as making Kodachrome colour slides/transparencies. I love the outdoors and nature, and I like walking and hiking. Maybe this accounts, in part anyway, for my current preoccupation with landscapes and seascapes. My "back catalog" contains a more varied range of pictures (not digital I'm afraid) and some day I hope to post one or two of these on Treklens. My introduction to digital photography happened relatively recently when, without warning or expectation, I was given a digital camera as a present. Since then my interest has been solely in digital photography and has coincided with my membership of TrekLens and TrekEarth. I have learned a lot about photography since joining TrekLens and in addition, it's been my good fortune to make many valued friends online. In short, I am very glad that I "discovered" TrekLens, and that digital photography "discovered" me! I believe that the great strength of TrekLens is that it allows photographers to freely and equally share their images - and therefore; their experiences and creativity - in an environment that provides positive criticism, technical advice and creative empathy. |
