With Photoshop CS.
Since this is a scanned photo, I removed a few marks in the clouds in the backgroud
Ajusted Dark and light tones to view better the trunk of the palm tree using the lasso.
Using Neat Image; filtered a bit the image.
I hope you will like it,
No change in the composition or presentation.

so cropped the left side out which in turn applied rule of thirds and added a basic border.
i left the light coloured leaves in the bottom right as i feel they give depth to the shot. |
