| Intro: | Photography, and using Photoshop are my ways of unwinding - it lets me find a bit of peace or a moment of beauty in amongst the general hustle and bustle of daily life. I'm not adverse to digital manipulation in order to create a nice image - painters have been doing this for years. Whilst I'm trying hard to improve my photography, at the same time Photoshop plays a part in the whole creative process for me - sometimes a very minor part (when the shot comes off as I planned) sometimes a lot more (when planning fails me....) I stumbled into TL and thought it would be a useful place to pick up some tips and post some pictures now and again. Someone should have warned me just how adictive this site can be..... Update September 2008 The longer I've been on TL the more picky I seem to be getting - picky about which shots I even attempt, picky about which shots I take, picky about which I keep and even more picky about what I post. I'm also more picky about the pictures I comment on here on TL, and have taken the view that if there isn't a note with the photograph then I don't think appropriate to leave a smilie - this is as much a place to learn about the world and about photography and the picture doesn't always tell the whole story. | |
