Being there and also admiring this amazing place, I thought to add some sharpness to the photo.
Tell me if I'm way off with what the real colors were as you saw it. I might be off. I just figured I'll try.
In photoshop CS:
step one:
I adjusted the colors.
Red+19
Blue +11
Green -1
step two:
I adjusted the brightness and contrast
Brightness -12
Contrast +17
step three:
I selected the sky and adjusted the brightness to -15 and contrast to +8
then sharpened the photo.
I just added some creativity for I thought the original looked a bit incomplete.
I rotated your photograph and placed it on a background (color choice from subject's shirt).
I selected the bubbles from the original and pasted it outside the frame (photo) and gave the photo drop shadows.

I cropped a little on top and a bit on bottom.
I duplicated the layer. Desaturated one and adjusted the color to look sepia. Erased, so the sky is its original color.
