| Intro: | I took my first photo when I was a kid in mid 70s with my uncle’s Yashica TLR (a medium format camera). He taught me about basic photography and got me hooked to this wonderful medium of art and expression. I got my first “serious” camera a few years later as a birthday present from my dad who asked one of his friends who was a professional photographer to recommend and suggest a good camera for me. As a result I was a proud owner of a brand new Yashica Electro 35. I made good use of that camera for many years and polished my skills. Then I bought myself a Canon AE-1 Program in 80s which is an excellent camera and I still have that one in working condition although I do not use it any more ever since converting to digital. Treklens is a wonderful forum for learning photography and showcasing your skills and I am truly humbled by the sheer amount of talent and creativity presented here by fellow trekkers and I am proud to be associated with it. | |
