1° Brightness -17, contrast +3
2° Highlight filter: amount 50%, tonal width 40%, radius 17%
3° Hue/saturation : master lightness -11, Yellow saturation +47, red saturation +30
4° cloned out spot under left eye.
5° reduced height at 620px to show the entire image on the screen.

I wanted to enhance the typical attitude, centering on the face, as the original image doesn't show the whole cat. It helps to remove also by that some distractive elements. The almost square framing suits better the cat's portrait. The text should be removed too.

Just filtered the noise with NeatImage. This program is very useful for such problems, and can be adjusted according the amount of noise reduction and sharpness addition required.

First I recropped tight on the subject and cloned the distracting nymphea stem. Then, with PSE, autocontrast, brightness (-6), contrast (+6) and sharpened. I didn't used NeatImage, but it could be a good addition too, if using the right settings. Will try tomorrow and let you know if it's better.

To bring out the flower a bit more, I used PSE to add yellow saturation (+35), reduce yellow brightness (-20) and sharpen.

The middle flower is the star here, so I wanted to present it in a balder style, where the flower is more in evidence, keeping it though off center. The other flowers look like applauding the star now.

The idea is to give more importance to the road perspective, by taking out the upper part, where the sky competes too much by color similarity with the road. Without loosing the verticals, IMO, it shows also a better balance in the three horizontal colors. Hope you'll like it.
