 Thanks Martine ! | perryhooter
(27341) [2009-06-14 20:21:31] | For this portrait.
Not an easy place under the blazing sun , with my bald head to capture the shot(^_^). But here I could not care less. I just enjoyed the moment with a great friend, that I finally met after five years sharing on line. Thanks to TL for another great relationship..
And Thanks to Kevin for his creativity and honesty. Always appreciated. |

 Zooming in | perryhooter
(27341) [2009-06-03 16:50:45] [1] [+] | Just zoomed in a bit more , enlarged it and framed. Therefore, I lost a bit the sharp edge. But I think a closer view, and thighter composition makes the reflections on the drop more spectacular .
It will be more succesfull working with your original. Perhaps you can try yourself for fun to see the difference.
Pozdrav,

 Different mood | perryhooter
(27341) [2009-05-31 06:49:52] [2] | For a more intimate mood, selected the background and adjusted luminosity. Inversed selection, and changed tones slightly for warmer tones to your model and pool table.
Hope you will like this warmer version.
Cheers!

 Adjusting luminosity | perryhooter
(27341) [2009-05-31 06:38:23] [4] | As I found the combined image was producing a bit flat colors for such moment , I split bot portions. Reduced luminosity of the sky.. Inversed selection and slightly different levels , colors and contrasts to balance the whole thing. Let me know what you think.
I would have appreciated a sharper image . but here with this format , the result would not be successful if I would have try to sharpen it.

(27341) [2009-05-30 09:33:24] [1] | Ahhhhh ,
Just for fun. This one inspired me (^_^). Beside correcting the tilted horizon, I reduced one step the luminosity, to give more punch to the colors. Filtered the image with Neat Image, and framed, adding a title. I hope you won't mind (^_^).
Have a lovely weekend !

 A different presentation | perryhooter
(27341) [2009-05-30 09:07:44] [1] | As Erik said , the image could be sharper. The impact would be much better. But here is what I did
1)First I rotated the image 1.4 Degrees anti-clockwise , using the horizontal lines of the brick wall.
2) Since the open sky right corner was a bit distracting , and breaking the balance of the composition I took it away . To balance the remaining image , I also cropped the left end with the window up to the tree. The shot I think is more intimate this way.
3) Converted it to Black & White
4) Enlarged it to 750 pixels (Therefore lost a bit more sharpness, but here the goal of this WS is not to increase its sharpeness)
5) Added frame and title
Voilą ,
Pozdrav,
Robert
PS. Of course , you can make the same corrections with your original full size photo. Results will be much better. Note I used Photofiltre to make these small corrections. |

You can see more the cavity in the rock the sea-urchin is living in. In fact it was trapped under the rock, since the rock was too heavy to be moved by this little creature. |
