(701) [2007-05-04 00:02:57] | I love the warm tones in this, but I felt that it was a little too dark. To fix this, I opened it in PS CS2 and tried autocontrast. I though it changed the photo a bit too much, so I switched back to the original and played around in curves until I got this.
It's really a matter of personal preference. You can always try it to see if you find another balance you like better. Have fun experimenting! |

(1083) [2007-04-03 05:09:19] [1] | I just chose tool Levels and adjusted the shadows and highlights in RGB channel. Then I used magnetic laso tool for crop the flower bud (because it was too dark)and increased the brightnes.
Finally added the frame.
I know, someone could tell that the background is disturbing, but i donīt think so, the picture looks more natural (then the Davids workshop) and the flower is enough expressive to take attention.
What do you think? I hope you like it. :-)

Image Enhansment-Working with Layers | riverfriends
(6972) [2007-02-08 15:58:24] [6] | Hi,
What did I do:
Created a secong layer in PhotoshopCS2
Made the bottom layer invisible by clicking off the 'eye' icon in the layer.
Using Magnetic Lasso tool, selected and removed the parts I did not want, then selected the left over image of just the flower and hit ctrl+C for copy
and ctrl+V to paste (this makes third top layer of just the flower.
In this top layer, I increased the saturation, using Smart Sharpen, increased the sharpnes a bit. and gave a little contrast to my liking.
Deleted the second layer (which is in the middle.
Going to the back ground layer, increased the darkness a bit.
On that layer created a border, by using a marqee box:
After I selected the inner part of the last layer, I copird and pasted and this again gives me a middle layer.
I double click on this and dialog box came uo, called Layer Style.
I checked the 'Strok' box and it showed me a lined bordser. I decided on an gray tone color by clicking on the collor option, and reduced its opacity.
Now I flattened the layer and the box lines showed behind the flower stem, and that is what I wanted.
Sized it to TL and posted.
[Working on these layers I changed the perspective on this whole image]
Please let me know if you could also do these steps.
