Using Photofiltre, I cloned out the additonal air craft I am not sure if this is whant you had in mind or not. But I was unable ti sharpen the image so felt it best to remove it.
ok with this shot I croped out as much as I could, then the hard bit selecting just Adele so I could manipulate the background, Lampost then removed and background part sillouetted then noise added.
I'm not working on my regular computer, so I'm software which is almost prehistoric in its simplicity, but I think it looks ok. I've simply desaturated the image and kicked up the contrast as high I felt I could get away with. I think the result makes the lighthouse (the focus of the image) stand out more, as well showing more clearly the drama in the water.
