| Intro: | Time for an update and more complete bio... I've been an amateur photographer since 1978 when I began using my late father's Argus C3. Didn't know a thing about photography but certainly learned a lot with that beautiful, clunky piece of equipment. Graduated a couple years later to a new Nikon FM with a built-in light meter (yippee!) and finally got serious about the art and science of photography. As the years went by my interest waned until the advent of digital photography. I held out until the technology could match what I did with film (and at a reasonable price), and finally made the leap in October of 2003, purchasing the first Canon 300D my local camera store got in. The ease at which I can review my photos, the histogram, and the workflow has rekindled my interest in the hobby. Although far from a professional, I thoroughly enjoy "seeing" the world through the lens and find myself looking for good compositions even without having the camera with me. I love the TrekLens website and what it has done for my photography. The level of quality and helpfulness at this site continues to amaze and hearten me, and I draw inspiration from everyone here. I welcome all critiques, comments and workshops and will try to "give back" as much as I "take from" this wonderful community. Cheers, - Bob My design shop: Seneca Creative Solutions | |
