| Intro: | One of my favorite teachers introduced me to an old 35 mil film camera so I could take pictures for yearbook class, but it was my Dad who inspired and encouraged my love of photography. He let me play with his old Cannon camera and all of his lenses and didn't object when I used up rolls of film trying to learn how to use it. I was fortunate enough to live in one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. for 4 years....Hawaii. It was incentive to once again pick up a camera. And believe me, I took it everywhere as if it was attached to my hip. I had a great Cannon, but I got tired of film costs and waiting on development so I finally updated my camera to digital, but must admit...when I get a good shot, it's pure luck because I know absolutely nothing on how to use it and trying to figure it out by reading the manual is like reading a foreign language. I need to find a class somewhere or someone to show me how to use it to get the full benefit of it. Last year we had to relocate to the Florida Panhandle and I must admit, I haven't taken many pictures, I miss my beautiful islands and hope someday to return for good. Hawaii was and always will be home to me. |
