| Intro: | Hi Everyone! I live in Houston, Texas, born and raised here. With a German background, with a dash of all other sorts of history thrown in, I am the Heinz 57 variety American. I'm married to Super Dave with two fine children, Andy 22 and Shelby 17. While I love photography, I also do many other things. One is work with friends and families of alcoholics/addicts. A hugely rewarding part of my life. Most evenings are spend working with and sponsoring others. My goal is to be free from the bondage of this deadly disease. I have been a part of recovery now for 12 years. While GOD is a big part of my life I am not religious. Religion (meaning: to practice) is about the Law, the Rules, and Doctrine. LOVE is about the heart, the mind and the soul. Why the difference? Because the law demands re-payment, Love does not. Love is about grace, mercy and forgiveness. The law only wants justice. So when I say I love you, I mean it, with no expectations in return. There is only ONE Love worth seeking. You can find it within! "Seek Ye FIRST the Kingdom of Heaven and everything else will be added unto you" I started photography at age 18 when I bought my first camera from a local ad in a newspaper where I was working. Before that time I was an artist since age 12. I continued my art, painting, oils and chalk, until I could not see, or sit still anymore! At age 36 I picked my camera back up after a long depression and started again. Today, I am the proverbial "blind" photographer. I have scaring on my corneas and struggle to see, but I get the job done by using my other senses....mainly the sixth one! In the past I have worked for magazines, newspapers and printing companies. I've done old fashioned "rock the tray" developing, eventually graduated to the more modern Digital Post Processing. I'm very eclectic in my art. From nature, portraits, landscapes, wildlife, weddings, macro photography, night photography and artistic impressions, I love doing them all and can't decide which is more fun. I also owned a woodworking business for 11 years and most of my furniture in my house is built by ME! Today I am an AutoCad Tech and in Sales for a national AC Supply company. Thanks for stopping by!
