| Intro: | I have been taking photos on and off again for the last seven years or so. I have only recently spent any effort to improve my skills as a photographer. Fortunately, I am the proud father of two young boys, a 4 year old and a newborn, but that means I don't get to take as many photos as I would like. Even as a rank amateur, I tend to critique photos relatively stringently. Please don't take offense to this. My only desire to to help others along the same road I am on. I encourage and expect the same kind of reviews for my own photos: if it's terrible, tell me it's terrible; if I'm on the right track, please tell me so. I also do not thank each and every person who reviews my photos as some around here do. I feel that can be a tax on bandwidth and the forums. Instead I will make sure to review at least one photo from each person who reviews one of mine. I think that is the best way to provide some degree of added value instead of just a thanks.
