BW and sharpen

I liked this shot but there was no focal point. I took away some of the pavement and converted it to B&W since the colors didn't stand out to me. I sharpened it twice and tried to touch up the sign to make it stand out more. Also played with the curves a bit, all in Photoshop. Then added a nice little black frame with the top/bottom being heavier than the sides.

What do you think?

B&W and curves

Played with the curves a bit here and converted to B&W. I also chose this picture first to work shop because the object in the lower left hand side of the original was distracting. Also tightened it up a bit. Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think.

I converted to Black and White because I didn't feel the colors were too predominant to begin with. I also took the glare out of his eye with the clone/stamp tool. Increased the brightness and slightly increased contrast. Also added a thin black frame. Hope you like.
