| Intro: | well...... ive seen this site on a couple of ocassions . i'm more towards documentary photography, so i feel that trekearth suits me more; however this place seems to be good to experiment, so here i am. and yes.... im really really bad at photoshop, so your suggestions will help thanks :). also .. i'm a student so i dont have enough money to get my films developed, so for a while i'll be uploading just whatever little i have available te my trekearth into: i'm studying economics right now, with a concentrations on developmental and environmental economics. i'm going to study photojournalism after this. i believe a good photograph is one thats lasts in the viewer's heart and mind for a long time, it should be an image that a person can keep going back to. most of my photographs are extremely dark, especially my black and white photographs, but thats what i like. for all those who detest my depressing black and white photographs of, uploaded here, that's one of the lines that i'm going to be following in the future, i hope. a lot of them were taken when i was about 19-20. i get my inspiration from lots of photographers and photographs. steve mccurry, abbas, james nachtwey, raghu rai , fancesco zizola, jan dago, kishore parekh.......... to begin with. i'm also a hardcore national geographic fanatic , those who have known me for a while or who have met me must already be knowing it by now. for me photography is all about moments, so i dont really like like to tell people where they they've gone wrong technically, if the moment they've captured is great. i'm still using film and i'm really bad at photoshope etc. although, i dont like post processing , i can't help doing it, in order to correct the scan to get it as close as possible to the print or the slide. also i'm not very digital photography savvy, and have very little clue about how to get the proper resolution etc, so if my there is something wrong with the upload, please let me know i have my exams on so i havent been able to write words for a lot of photographs for which i wanted to. im going to get even busier now that my main semester exams are approaching so i wont be as active on tl or te as i want to. so i guess you'll hear more from me in december | |
