Digital images have so much leeway. I think your problem here may well have been color/white balance. I really like your composition. I used the levels tool to bring up the light levels and change the color balance. I then desaturated the image. I did a little smoothing with neat image.
I think you definitely had the right idea to use available light. Perhaps your white balance on the camera was left in some odd configuration. |
