Thanks for your opinions on both of my self portraits. For me it's very strange that both are nearly the same pose, and yet there is such a contrast of feeling in them. I feel like this one is a better representation of my emotional state now, which says a lot about my recovery. I'm able to look foreward with optimism again.
The other was much more reflective of how I was feeling when I first submitted it, so you can imagine how I was feeling at the time. I'm glad to have that behind me. At the same time, I think that in a way I needed to have gone through such a trying time in my life to be where I am now. Things happen for a reason.
