Thank you for your comments - I played around with this one for a while trying to get the best from it. I took it before I discovered shooting in RAW and his face was quite dark in the shadow - so I thought I'd make it a bit arty to compensate for the problem! All a bit of a cheat really but I do agree with you - had I shot in RAW I would have recovered his face much more easily and left it alone I think!
