Actually, I wanted Nikon D70 because I noticed the photos of many photographers on other sites taken with it (my fav subjects - textures etc.), but the price difference is not small (at least for me, a single mother). I don't think the image quality is worse with D50, as far as I carefully read and compared the features between them, it's only about the shutter speed. I have no professional ambitions with photography, so Im more than happy with D50.
