| Yes, I purposely over-contrasted the kittens, as a way to illustrate how exposed they were in their environment, and as an analogy of how hard their lives were living outside (needing to hide from the coyotes and owls). Rather than a "cute" and "soft" feeling, I wanted to portray a harsher reality. And I accentuated their eyes to show their personality "spark" in this monotone setting (gray cats within a gray tire).
