Approximately, I use drop by drop to make regularly fall the drops. The camera is fixed at a tripod and is connected to a remote control. One or two flash (2 flashes for this photo) are used with different settings and positions according to what you want. One needs to test and to carry out tests to obtain a correct result.
The dominant colors are obtained with coloured paper sheets used like reflectors. The background can be a photograph, an object or anything you want…
The adjustments carried out, the last step is to take the photographs with a lot of patience. There are many failures because it is necessary to manage to seize one precise moment which lasts only one 1/10 or 1/100 of second.
I use no infrared or any electronic barrier for my photo.
I hope I answered your questions.
Thanks for your comment and your interest for my work.
