I think the dog had one of those pads that boaters place on the side of their boat when it is docked. I see your point on the thirds comp. It was a difficult shot because not far above this picture was the sunset which was probably 5 or more stops brighter than the exposure that I took. Elena's has said that you would be willing to teach me about PhotoShop, I would like that. This shot of the dog was my first attempt with that program.
