Hey Frank, thanks again!
Both Pam /Coasties and I had the same lens on - 17-40 - and we both got the same effect with our lights. So we think it must be these lens. We didn't have any other filters on to do that. I like it too.
I thought if I had a longer exposure time I would have not so many breaks in the light-lines. But I take note of what you say - lots to learn, thank you!
