Richard. Funny, I have two lines, one to Spencers in Wales (8th generation back is Princess Di's line) and one to, I believe, MacDuff's much earlier. Anyway, I love kilts and go to the festival almost every year at Grandfather Mountain. It's always the second weekend in July, you should go.
Shots like this are hard to get with animals as most people are always shooting at them or trying to eliminate them which irritates me because they should just live in the city if they can't handle wildlife. This small preserve has been there for almost a 100 years, so they are easier to 'shoot' (with the camera) and at least get a passable shot, sometimes a dynamic one. Missed some eagles that were roosting in my firetower series, next time I'll be prepared, though! |
