thanks for the lovely comments and the advice Paolo! i should always double check the pictures in a browser before posting.. i know there are always quality issues in web browsers compared to image viewers or editors but it has'nt been a big problem with my posts up to now so it slipped my mind to double check! but i figured out a way to make my black and white shots 'web safe' by saving them in grayscale.. so at least they'll be safe!
