Cuba is a wonderful place to visit. The people, in general, are very warm and nice and friendly.
There are parts to be avoided, but that is true to all places :-(.
If you settle in the resorts, most of the beaches are wonderful.
We have been there about 5 times and every time but one was great. That one bad stay, we got a very bad maid for the room. That was the only negative part. Therest of that stay was great.
You could wait to see what happens when Fidel passes away. Heard from a friend of ours, who is Cuban, that there will be some heavy manifestations then. That is why we opted to go to the Dominican Republic this year.
