I do believe this fellow only had one leg, so he must have visited your area first and encounter the Brochet. I've never heard of a Brochet so I imagine we have a different name for it down here, I think we call it a Garfish. They are really long, resemble an alligator and have very sharp teeth, they are fast too. They do eat anything!
