| James, and making the photo a success! Oh, rest assured, if you've ever been to Tombstone, AZ, it is quite real--dramatized to a degree but very real. Wish I had a picture of the old tombstone markers on Boot Hill where it says things like 'Shot with his boots on!' etc. I lived out West for many years so I have a feel for the sense of its history, times and people. More accurate renderings are done now, though, in some ways such as with Dances With Wolves and some other well-researched movies. They actually do a lot more research now. However, even the old movies were based on Louis L'Amour novels and paperbacks which he researched VERY well as to place and time. Such as the Sackett books and others too numerous to mention. Whenever he tells a story, he actually walked the trails. |
