If you are that close to Guildford you really must go to both the gallery and the chapel (my favourite is the chapel but both are good)- Remarkably there is no admission charge to either. The gallery has been granted lottery funding and is likely to close next year for a £10m refit and whilst this is clearly necessary it will lose its English eccentricity. At the moment there is great art in an acccesible setting and the chapel is unbelievable.
