| Hi, Rew. To answer your question, I was taking most of these over a period of one afternoon. Wouldn't exactly call it a session. The girls come and find me periodically and haul me to one part of the neighborhood or another and start posing. Sorry I didn't post the exposure info. When I convert from RAW, it always gets lost. I try to jot it down and post it, but I forgot for this one. It was the kid lens, probably close to full wide at 18mm. ISO 200. Somewhere between F3.5 and F 5.6, and a shutter of around 1/100 or maybe a little slower. Something like that. The wide angle isn't traditionally used for portraits, but I like it for this kind of impromptu natural light street portrait. First of all it's easy to deal with, but it also lends a kind of informal, open feel the image. There's no bokeh, no dreamy light effects. It's just a kind of real, immediate shot. With kids it works well. Best, -Hugh |
