I am soooo happy you like this picture of a smiling man :) I appreciate very much of your very kind words and your notice bout the BG.
The building on the right known as building of thousand doors, Lawang (thousand) Sewu (door). it was built during the dutch colonial. It is sad to know now the building is totally neglected. Ashamed that the governor just don’t know what to do with it. It cannot be destroyed due to its historical value, the building is also listed as protected building in the city. I just don’t understand why no effort of maintenance. Or perhaps they are too scared of rumors about this building lol :D Is is also popular as ghost house for the local. The ground in front the building was once became a battlefield at 1945, many people were killed there. There is a monument built nearby for memorial to that historical event, it is exactly at the left BG of the becak drivers :)
