The picture does look better without that ugly street light, and you've done a good job removing it.
But if you think about it - what about the cars? And the people? There's no end to what you can delete in order to try to leave only the fireworks there.
I kept the street light in the original picture because I like to show my pictures as they are. Not that I don't use editing software in order to make corrections - I just try to minimize the use thereof. In this case it's not just a matter of cropping - you can't crop it without cropping the fireworks as well, so you have to paint over it somehow, and that would have bothered me more than leaving it in. After all, the viewers know that the picture was taken in the city, it doesn't interfere with viewing anything else in the picture, and coming out sharp, it helps me to present the fact that the picture miraculously came out sharp although I wasn't using a tripod when taking it.
I'm sure the viewers will like your version better and give you workshop credits, and rightfully. I just hope you'll understand why I didn't do it myself.
So thank you for your note and for your workshop, I hope you like other pictures I've taken and sorry for the long reply.
