These trees are brand new, this is in an area where Katrina did major damage, worse than here in New Orleans. House were scrubbed off the foundations to the point where you can't tell there was once a home there! My friend Joyce lost everything but did find her fridge two blocks down from where her house was. It is good to see they are trying to make things look like they once did on the beach at least. The other side where the houses once were still looks awful...overgrown and weedy. Lots of for sale signs and pylons sticking up, it really is sad.
