Yes, within a short period of time the sky started turning dark and soaked all the color out of the atmosphere!:) It was eerie. It was also the latter part of the afternoon, so the sun was getting low in the sky anyway, but what was left of the daylight disappeared with the storm. The open landscape made this seem all the more dramatic.
