In fact, the little plane was very close to the water at this point and I was crossing a pedestrian bridge over the road so that it really was below me. I think you're familiar with the CNE grounds, are you not? I was walking over the bridge that crosses Lakeshore Rd to the west of Ontario Place.
In fact, we were not allowed to stand on the bridge to take photos. I simply crossed and recrossed that bridge many times, pausing briefly to take a shot or two. It got to the point that I could joke with the police officers keeping the bridge clear. I offered to trade clothes so they could go sit in the shade :D
