As always, what you write is very interesting too. I had noticed the slight overexposure on the stones, but thought having solved the problem by adding contrast and diminishing brightness. But you show me there are other - and better! - solutions. I DO like your WS, even if it's less "sweet", but the stones look really old now. I see you often obtain nice results by changing the midtones. I didn't find that feature yet in the programmes I use (Picture It or Photophiltre), but I will look for it and give it a try.
