I have taught for 13 years at the local university on a full time .. but year to year .. contract.
This summer they let me know that my job will be gone in August 2008.
In a way it was nice of them to give me so much warning .. but so many decisions and thoughts to dwell on .. university jobs are scarce ... there are as many nation wide as there are public school jobs in one state .. so if I am going to stay at the University level I have to be willing to move anywhere .. and who knows how long the search will be .. or I can move down to the public school level and hopefully be a bit more choosy in where we go .. we will see where things end up.
