Yes good seeing I had forgotten that I had inverted it to negative. When you use the "Gradient Map" tool it also has the option to tick a box to invert the selected colour changes, so yes I guess I had done that and forgotten about it in the other parts of the process.

Interesting about the IR view, was I wish to get an IR camera next... now that is gonna be a great journey of discovery... :)
