How did I get the ship to illumined with the Back light, HMM On this photo Iused dodge and burn tool. First of all well the whole work flow on this pHoto is as followed.
1 levels to what I thank looks good, 2, Curves, need to make the water a little darker, the darker area darker and the lighter area lighter alittle not a lot,3 Shadow and highlight +5 on both of them always on every photo I PP. Selective colors adjust the tone to my liking. 4 Hue and saturation to get the colors just right, On the ship used the Burn tool on the sails, If you notice the little daker area on the sails, The dodge tool, On the white on the boat, Notice the water on the side of the boat it lighter, Dodge tool actsent, Than Contrast, and sharpen.
