Yes I used a tripod. The timing was a bit tricky since the "all glow" only lasts for perhaps 10 or 12 seconds. Any longer and the balloons start to take off - not a good idea at night. The balloon on the extreme left tended to fire up late making me rush the second and third shots. I missed on several opportunities because of this.
