The nickname "Boonie" was given to me by my father-in-law-to-be when my wife-to-be and I started dating in 1962. They lived on a farmer and he could see me coming and would say "here comes Boonie". The Daniel Boone thing stuck. Nice of you to notice. and thanks for the National Geographic compliment.
