I actually zip-tied my SLR to my helmet and used the self-timer. The focus was hard as was the shutter-speed and terrain (I was looking for something that looked like riding a trail--which I was.) If you cherrish your camera equipment, don't try this at home. By the way, there were no zip-tie failures and the camera lived to serve another day.
