I realise that I might've been a bit rash in concluding my opinions on your "the bug and the ant", but you have some pretty rash conclusions yourself. For example, I didn't crop this image on the left side (at the tail of the dragonfly) at all, only a tiny bit on the right side for there was a point of distraction on that side. I realise the DOF is not perfect, as I am asking advice on this point and still experimenting with it.
I'm still learning and therefore I also think that your words are too harsh and maybe even insulting. I cannot make up for the experience you already have, but I'm trying my best nevertheless.
