Hiya, thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

The focal point: I agree with you to a degree, it is normal to have the leading edges in focus and normally I would do this. For this particular shot, I already had the processed image in my minds eye and decided that a rear focal point would convey the push power from a rear wheel drive car better that a pull from the front, if that make sense to you :)
It was more a trial shot than anything else and one which I'll revisit again sometime.
