Thank you, Brian, for your kind and encouraging remarks yet again.
Firstly, it's simple physics that keeps these things up in the air. Mind you, I guess it doesn't take much to make them drop out of the sky either.
Have you ever thought how human beings manage to stand on just two legs? You wouldn't design a table with just two legs would you? That would be daft. It'd fall over. Four legs are much better, but, then, horses have four legs - I've been on one once and never been so terrified in all my life - they fall over too. Never again.
Horses for courses, I suppose. :o)
Yep, this was one of the great 'planes of World War II. I think it's painted yellow at the moment because that is probably just aluminium primer paint. I guess you wouldn't want to fly over enemy territory in that colour or every Messerschmit within 100 miles would see you.
Again, as I commented in reply to one of your recent critiques, I put this one on in desperation - I just needed my fix for the day - these Trek sites are worse than drugs - some days you just have to upload a picture!
Finally, I very much approve of your workshop. You really are the master of black & white and sepia. As I said before, you would have done well in the days of Fox-Talbot and Daguerre! It is very, very good and I think adds to the mood and age of the subject very well indeed.
Many Thanks and Kind Regards,
John. |
