Thanks a lot for the tip about the shutter speed. I will certainly try that out next time I am using the zoom. I am sometimes guilty of using my camera on 'Auto' or "P" mode, instead of taking care to set the shutter speed myself. I have a bit of a problem trying to read the small information screen on the camera and also have trouble with the black on grey contrast. The lighting has to be just right for me to be able to see it properly. (just had two cataract surgeries and my vision has always been poor for distance viewing, and now for close up work too. Ah...the joys of getting old!!!
