it catched my eye too for the surrealistic ambience, but actually is a family holiday shot, anyway the place is a desertic one, so the cracked dirt you see is from the small pond at the back, and it's very common in that region.
The zone is San Juan province in Argentina, which have very nice valleys and a very dry clima, which they irrigate for wineyards.
This picture was taken a lot of years ago, but i rediscovered it when working with my new negative scanner, which allowed me to rediscover the beauty and rich semitones of b&w film. |
