Thank you, Brian, for your kind remarks.
The weather here has been so appalling that I've had to reort to posting stuff from the archives: some of the pictures need a bit of tarting up too.
This was actually quite a cute little thing. Personally, I wouldn't fancy getting in it but, with my fascination for all things mechanical, I'd love to build one. I know you don't fancy flying but the Museum of Flight at East Fortune is a fabulous place to visit. Go on a weekday if you can - I think it can be pretty busy with noisy kids at the weekends. And the countryside around there is packed with camera-fodder.
Actually, as a doctor, I've seen some really horrendous injuries from horse-riding. Not that I wish to worry you. Actually, I was working in theatre on 21st. December, 1988 when we had a call to tell us that an airliner had crashed on the M74. Curiously, although we were only about 40 miles away, we never received a single casualty. Does that not prove that flying is safe?
Best Wishes,
John. |
