As for the photo in general I really like this room from the first time I saw it. Most of the day it's lit by natural light through the window even though the view is blocked by apartment buildings. The room is fairly big and the light gives it a natural high contrast.
I tried different compositions and when I took this shot I immediately new it was the best one. I don't quite understand why but the light in this one really appeals to me.
The B/W conversion was very simple. Done in Adobe Elements by removing colour and increasing the contrast.
This version will not be printed. I will work more carefully on the B/W conversion on the print version. This was more of a test to see how it would be received. Not very well I guess or maybe the subject matter is not interesting enough.
