Hi dear Karl, your b&w has good appeal though it is very contrasty i prefer a more subtle , more natural look but i am marking this WS useful as this opens my eyes to the potentialities of such image . As for the the color version well it is very possible you have a better rendition color-wise of the scene than my own but certainly not by much frankly as i have the print right in my face and i am comparing and both our shots are off either side of the original tones here . One thing i know is that I have found that scanning a color photo does not give good results in the rendition of colors , sky is not always the same blue or else , i am not that satisfied with my scanning results at this point. Best is turn it to B&W once scanned and your problem with colors is gone so to speak.
I agree with you Karl Patagonia is truly magical and thank you for taking the time to do the WS , there is good potential here to improve this shot ,
